APAT Western Australia is a not-for-profit association and affiliated member of the Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers Association.
APAT WA was formed in 1967 to support teachers of china painting in Western Australia. Its mission is to foster closer relationships between teachers and china painters and to hold working exhibitions aimed at producing higher standards, the adoption of new products and techniques and to generally improve the art of porcelain painting.
APAT WA holds regular meetings, publishes six newsletters annually, organises porcelain painting workshops and holds exhibitions and sales of work including their bi-annual regional exhibition.

2026 APAT NATIONAL CONVENTION - Busselton WA
14th - 17th October, 2026
APAT-WA was extremely proud to be hosting the 2026 Australasian Porcelain Art Convention and Exhibition in the south-west city of Busselton.
The venue was the brand new arts and cultural convention centre in the heart of Busselton called Saltwater. The event attracted visitors from all around Australia as well as from New Zealand , Hong Kong and USA.

19th Century Crafts at Peninsula Farm
As part of Heritage Month, the National Trust held a display of 19th Century Arts and Crafts, including china painting, at Peninsula Farm Maylands in May 2026. Read more..
